Hello everyone, I’m having trouble with one of the doors on my Ikea PAX system, which is completely stuck. It’s a sliding door that catches heavily when opening and closing and no longer runs smoothly in the guide rails. I suspect that either the rollers are damaged or something has shifted within the track. I have already tried lifting the door slightly and detaching it from the rails, but I’m hesitant to apply too much force to avoid breaking anything. Are there any tried-and-tested methods or experiences on how to professionally repair a stuck IKEA PAX door, possibly with tips on adjusting the guide rails or replacing the rollers? Also, advice on tools to have on hand would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
If the rail is bent, you should carefully straighten it using a rubber mallet, provided the damage is not too severe.
Otherwise, a hard impact in the wrong spot can damage the roller. In that case, replacement is advisable.
The rollers for Pax sliding doors are usually standardized and readily available from Ikea customer service.
Tools: rubber mallet, screwdriver, and possibly silicone spray for the tracks.

The rollers for PAX sliding doors are usually standardized and readily available through Ikea customer service. That is correct, but to clarify: not all PAX doors use the same type of roller. Compatibility depends on the model and manufacturing year, so it is essential to check before purchasing.
Additionally, you should inspect whether the tracks are excessively dirty. Sometimes thorough cleaning with a degreasing agent can help before opting for replacement rollers.
