Hello everyone, I am currently looking for new furniture and am particularly interested in the IKEA Brimnes series. I would like to know if there are versions of the Brimnes furniture that come with a soft-close feature. This is very important to me because I want to avoid the doors and drawers slamming shut. It would be great if someone has experience with this or knows for sure whether IKEA offers this feature in the Brimnes range. I am especially interested in cabinets and dressers, but also other pieces from the series. Are there any official details or perhaps user reviews available? Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Contrary to some opinions, the feature is not integrated into all Brimnes furniture – as cost efficiency is usually prioritized.

Exactly! A few months ago, I bought the Brimnes dresser and was initially skeptical because there is a lot of discussion about soft-close features. But my model actually includes it, and I really love it. It makes daily use much more comfortable. So, if you decide to get one: be sure to carefully check the product description and labels to avoid disappointment.

Soft-close is worth it – just give it a try!

There are Brimnes furniture pieces with soft-close, but not all of them. It’s best to ask in the store or check the product description.

Soft-close is only included in certain dressers with drawers from Brimnes. Doors usually do not have this feature. If you want soft-close for doors, it must be retrofitted.
