elkoanHello everyone,
I have a very specific question and hope to find someone here who can help me. I own a MALM bed from IKEA in white and would like to replace some spare parts – especially smaller items like screw covers, bed legs, or drawer handles – because they are somewhat worn or damaged. My question is: Are there replacement parts that match the color of MALM beds exactly, especially in white, that are original or at least very accurately fitting and color-matched? And if so, where can they be obtained? I want to avoid any visible signs of replacement, as I really like the MALM bed as it is.
I have already checked the IKEA website, but I haven’t found any dedicated spare parts shops, and the quality of third-party suppliers seems very variable. I look forward to your experiences and tips!
Thanks in advance!

Are there replacement parts for MALM beds that match the color exactly, especially in white, which are either original or at least very precise in fit and color? This is a very important question because color variations are especially noticeable with white furniture. Usually, original replacement parts from IKEA are the best option, as they are made specifically for the series. I recommend contacting IKEA customer service directly first. Often, they will send parts regardless of the original purchase date.
If that doesn’t work, there are also several online sellers specializing in IKEA replacement parts. Quality and color accuracy can vary, so pay close attention to customer reviews.
Alternatively, I have read that some users lightly sand and repaint replacement parts themselves to match the color—if you have some DIY skills, this could be a solution.
If you want, I can also share some links to reputable shops. It’s important to provide the exact part name and color to avoid mistakes when ordering.

Spare parts are available directly from IKEAAbsolutely! It’s great that IKEA still offers this service! 🙂
I once had a problem with a broken side of my bed, and thanks to their service, I was able to order the spare parts, which matched perfectly in color! It really feels good when everything fits together flawlessly!
You just have to be persistent sometimes, as the spare parts aren’t always immediately available.
Have any of you tried replacing complete parts like drawer fronts at IKEA? I did it myself, and it worked perfectly! A little tip: keep the original part numbers handy—that makes searching so much easier!
Keep it up and good luck to everyone with the MALM beds!!
