Hello,

I want to expand my Ikea kitchen and change the cabinet fronts.

The kitchen is about 5 to 6 years old, and now I want to extend it and install new fronts at the same time. Does anyone know if this will work smoothly if I buy new cabinet boxes? Or have there been changes to the drilling holes, etc.?

Has the Stat front style changed in the last 6 years? I have some used ones available and might consider buying new ones as well...

Thanks in advance for your answers!

... have shrunk by one millimeter.

This is within the manufacturing tolerances, which are generally higher for wood-based materials than for metal, for example.

Just a tip if it really bothers you: take the cabinet down again, loosen the locking cams, and slide pieces of paper between the top panel and side panel, as well as between the bottom panel and side panel. A sheet of newspaper is about 0.1 millimeters (0.004 inches) thick. You can also slightly shrink the cabinet by assembling it, tightening the cams, giving a gentle tap with a rubber mallet, and then retightening.

And before anyone says the paper method is too complicated, even in metalworking, tools are sometimes set up this way in machines when the press does not have hydraulic compensating plungers.

Oh man... can someone explain this to me:

After confirming not only in the forum but also directly with Ikea that there have been no changes to the Faktum cabinet carcasses, I now have to realize, after installing the doors on the cabinet for the fridge/freezer unit, that the gap between the doors is almost one centimeter (0.4 inches), even though the full adjustment range of the hinges has been used. Could it be...

I was already thinking of adjusting the hinges using the arrows, but that can’t be the solution, can it?

Any ideas?

Are these the 153-degree hinges specifically for the cabinet with electrical appliances? Visually, they look like the standard 125-degree hinges.
That alone could be the reason, since NOT only the opening angle is different...

The hinges are the correct ones.

A photo showing the entire view can sometimes be helpful as well.

They are the INTEGRAL 95° hinges.

What are the dimensions of the cabinet and the doors?
