At the bottom of the entrance door to my new apartment, there is a gap measuring 14mm (0.55 inches), which naturally allows strong drafts to enter. The door was installed as part of a newly built apartment. I suspect that the professional cut the door too much. I have reported the defect and would like to know whether, in such a case, the door needs to be completely reordered. There is also a rubber seal installed at the bottom, which is hanging freely in the air.
Thank you very much for any advice.

I don’t think this is the same issue as in the other thread, since this concerns an apartment door. There shouldn’t be any drafts there.

A picture is worth a thousand words. The rubber seal could be an interesting point... I would raise it as a defect, just as you did. The remedy for the defect is still pending, or is that why you think a new door is necessary?

Thank you ypg, I completely agree. The rubber seal is hanging loosely and the defect has not been fixed yet. I have not received a response to my email inquiry from Monday morning, so I have now sent a registered letter with return receipt. In the meantime, I have found that the steel frame was installed too high (there is also a gap at the bottom), which explains the large gap. Additionally, the installed door is not an RC2 door as specified in the purchase contract. As a layperson, I first informed myself and have also made a complaint about this. I hope the company will acknowledge their mistakes and that I can avoid legal action.

In case of defects, it is important to remain professional: send a registered letter listing the defects. Specify a reasonable deadline for correction, including the date.
