We are currently facing the troublesome issue of choosing an exterior door...
We visited the recommended specialist store and selected our door.
Now we need to decide on the door panel.
The options are:
1: Insert panel Tabori 2. Anthracite gray on both sides (no extra charge)
2: Single-sided overlay panel. Anthracite gray on both sides (extra charge €805 gross)
3: Double-sided overlay panel. Anthracite gray on both sides (extra charge €1610 gross)
Which option would you choose?
We’re really unsure if the additional cost of €805 gross for the double-sided overlay panel compared to the single-sided overlay panel is worth it...

Mottenhausen7 Sep 2019 00:07I also prefer the panel insert design, but mainly because it was already included in our case. For 1600€ I could have found better uses for that money within the house. Besides, a front door always takes a lot of wear and gets scratches around the handles, lever, keyhole, and bottom area. The painted aluminum on our door... well... I somehow don’t trust it to last 20 years, even though it’s a “branded door.” I wouldn’t rule out replacing the door after about 10 years.
