Hello
I would like to ask if it is possible to build a bungalow with a living area of 130 m² (1,400 sq ft) and a double carport on a 600 m² (6,460 sq ft) plot of land, while still having some lawn area left. Or is that rather unsuitable? The dimensions are 25 x 25 meters (82 x 82 feet), but one corner is slightly cut off, so it’s not a full 25 x 25 meters.
We don’t need a vegetable or herb garden; we just want some lawn space for my nieces to play and sunbathe.
Thanks for any advice.
Best regards

The child will eventually become a teenager, or the parents might have guests in the evening, so I find the children's room with access only through the living room less practical.

Upstairs is south-facing...
The attic space reserve will later be used for the junior. The children’s room was moved upstairs because we wanted the child to have the mostly light-filled room, and we don’t really need that much natural light in the master bedroom.
The 6-meter (20 feet) width of the carport/garage probably takes up too much space... but it is allowed to be built directly on the property boundary.
As mentioned, this design serves as a basis for discussion, and even at the architect stage, we were not completely satisfied with the layout of the children’s room.

The architect suggested leaving 5 meters (16 feet) in front of the carport/garage so that a car can be parked there when guests come or if it is not being driven inside. That is the usual practice, but it’s not set in stone.
PS: Can this now be moved to the floor plans topic, or is this still the right place for brainstorming?
