Hello everyone,

I am currently planning to redesign my small apartment and am looking for wardrobe solutions that are specifically suited for spaces with limited room. The Ikea Pax wardrobe caught my attention because it is very flexible and modular. My question to you is: What different Ikea Pax options are available that are particularly designed for small apartments or tight spaces?

I am especially interested in the following points:
- What widths and depths are available that are optimized for limited floor space?
- Are there specific configurations that maximize storage without taking up too much space?
- What about the heights, especially when ceilings are not very high?

I look forward to your experiences and recommendations so I can find a functional yet space-saving solution for my apartment. Thanks in advance!

Hello,

Ikea offers the Pax wardrobes in various widths, for example 50, 75, and 100 cm (20, 30, and 40 inches). For small apartments, the 50 cm (20 inches) deep models are highly recommended because they don’t take up too much space. Heights usually range between 201 and 236 cm (79 and 93 inches).

You can customize the interior layout flexibly to make the most of the storage space.

To add: The Pax series offers a particularly narrow option with 35 cm (14 inches) deep units, ideal when space is limited. These fit perfectly into small rooms without feeling too bulky. The slightly lower height of 201 cm (79 inches) is better suited when ceiling height is limited.

Additionally, sliding doors save space since they don’t require extra clearance in front of the wardrobe.

Exactly, that’s the little gem among the Pax options! 💎

I think the narrow models are real space-savers, especially for tiny apartments – you can even fit high-quality interior organizers in there to keep the clutter under control. Sliding doors are my favorite anyway; they look great and save you the hassle of door swing space.

If your ceilings are a bit higher, go for the 236 cm (93 inch) version—you can really make the most of the space without overwhelming the room. Just be brave and measure carefully! 😉

I completely agree! 😊 Especially in small apartments, every square centimeter (every square inch) counts. That’s why Pax-style units with narrow depths and sliding doors are a great choice. Additionally, you can organize the inside of the wardrobe with smart inserts or slim shelves to make flexible use of the available space – that really makes a difference in the end.

The key is to measure carefully beforehand and choose the door style to suit your room layout, so the overall look stays balanced.
