Hello everyone,
I’m a bit unsure and puzzled about how to design the garage.
I’m interested in whether my idea is even feasible.
a) legally
b) purely from an aesthetic point of view
Info: there are neighboring properties to the west and north.
What do you think?
Any suggestions?
PS: unfortunately, I don’t have access to a 3D program to illustrate the whole thing.

Usually, this information is specified in the development plan, such as which roof style the garage is allowed to have and the setback distances to the front and side. The garage must also be approved.
Is the house already built? Is this a new construction? Will the garage be built by the same contractor as the house?
Regards, Yvonne

This is the excerpt from the regulation; now you need to check the development plan for your plot number to see which specific roof type is assigned to your property. If all three are listed, that's fine. If only a hip roof (WD) is specified, then the garage may have a hip roof with a different pitch or a flat roof.
I find it attractive when the garage and the house share the same roof style and pitch – but that is a matter of personal preference. In your specific case, I would ask the builder to create a 3-D view for you.

yes, it’s the same.
My concern was that since properties are adjacent on the left and “above,” this means side boundary development, which is permitted.
For example, regarding the height of the garage or any other factors I should consider…
And whether there is any visual material available on this topic – as I said, we haven’t gone far with the planning yet and are just starting to think about it.
Or is there a 3D program where you can visualize the size proportions?
Thank you
