ᐅ Ideas for the floor plan and possibly some additional tips?

Hello everyone,
I have been following the forum with great interest for a few weeks now, as I will soon become a builder myself.
We are planning a semi-detached house on a sloped site facing southwest. We will build turnkey + solid construction (KfW 70 standard) with a Vaillant heat pump system.
Attached is our floor plan, which I would appreciate some feedback on. Windows still need to be planned!
What do you think? Are the room sizes adequate?
Does anyone have any additional ideas? The bathtub, toilet, etc. on the upper floor will of course be arranged differently. The architect just added them as placeholders.
The window front on the ground floor balcony should probably be enlarged, right? Is the kitchen too large? We originally wanted a guest toilet + shower, but that doesn’t seem possible here, does it?
So many questions…
It would be great to get some tips.
Living in the house will be my wife, daughter and me (33, 2, 33), plus my parents-in-law in the basement (64 and 63).
THANK YOU 🙂
Heiko

The architect will have to come up with another solution for that. If, as I seem to remember, we have a knee wall height of 1.10 meters (3 ft 7 in), then the bathtub should fit in the corner, right? The toilet would then go on the upper left wall, and the shower in the lower left. The two washbasins below, as planned? With a T-wall? Is that popular at the moment?
Here is the draft of the guest bathroom:

@Dirk: Something like this? It’s really tiny, isn’t it? Would that work, or will I get in trouble when my dad visits us with his beer belly : )

Doc.Schnaggls3 Sep 2014 16:13Hello Heiko,
yes, that looks quite neat. The shower tray you have planned now is an 80 x 80 cm (31 x 31 inches) unit. That is a very standard size.
Our shower tray in the apartment with 90 x 90 cm (35 x 35 inches) was still considered a luxury size 14 years ago...
Now, in the house, there is a shower in the guest bathroom measuring 80 x 90 cm (31 x 35 inches) – I think that should definitely be sufficient.
The toilet you have planned is quite deep at 70 cm (28 inches) – you could gain some space with a shorter (standard) toilet.
Get some information on what your final knee wall height and roof pitch will be – the usability of the attic floor really depends on that.
We are also building in the greater Stuttgart area, specifically in the Böblingen district.
Which construction company have you chosen (feel free to send a private message)?
Best regards,
Dirk

...toilet then on the upper left wall side and the shower bottom left. The two washbasins at the bottom, as planned? In a T-shaped layout? Is that currently common? That unfortunately doesn’t work at all, because you need a standing height of 2 meters (6.6 feet) for the toilet, shower, and washbasins.
The only current option that is visible and works is the one from @Manu1976: you recover the 2 m² (21.5 ft²) from the child’s room by moving the partition wall. This way you actually get two rooms of equal size 🙂
P.S. Unfortunately, the bathroom planners cannot define sloped ceilings 🙁
