ᐅ Renovating a Children's Bedroom

We would like to renovate our children’s room, but we are not yet sure whether to just paint or to use wallpaper. I have seen some really cool children’s rooms with wallpaper, and it looks great. Is it possible to paint something like that, or does it only work with wallpaper?

Of course, it also depends on how much experience you have with painting. The more complex the patterns on the children’s room wallpaper are, the more difficult it naturally is to recreate the desired pattern with brush and paint. That’s why I recommend wallpaper to beginners, as it is ultimately easier to apply.

But feel free to share a picture here of how you want the walls to look. There are various painting techniques to create such patterns in several steps, but applying wallpaper is simpler.

That said, I have to mention that the result can be really impressive when you paint it yourself. You can also hire a painter, of course! 😉

As mentioned, here are the pictures showing how I imagine it. This wallpaper consists of two parts: the lower section and the border at the top. I think it looks quite nice.

Do you also want to paint the small figures, or are you only interested in the colors?

No, my main interest is in the overall idea of designing the wall in that way. In my opinion, the colors are also well chosen. I believe the wallpaper is from "Designers Guild," if that means anything to you.
