Hello everyone,

Since I have no prior experience, I would like to get some general information.
Our new building will be heated using an air-to-water heat pump.
What would generally and overall be the advantages, potential savings, and costs of installing a photovoltaic system on the roof? Is it worthwhile or not?

And where are the €9,000 in your calculation? So, you have a total investment of roughly €30,000 for 10 kWp + 10 kWh storage.

You also made a slight mistake with the VAT on self-consumption. Just for the storage discharge alone, about €100 VAT must be paid, plus income tax.

Your calculation should therefore be: Do I have a higher overall loss with the cloud than without it? You won’t see any profits with this.

How long are the 28 cents per kWh for extra consumption guaranteed, and what options do you have if the provider significantly raises this price?

How do you arrive at 30,000 euros? The total investment was 15,000 euros (9,000 euros for the photovoltaic system + 6,000 euros for the storage).

I left out the 9,000 euros because it is irrelevant for the two calculations. The photovoltaic system does not change in my comparisons.

I just wanted to know whether, with an existing photovoltaic system including storage, the power cloud is worthwhile or not. So the photovoltaic system and storage are constants, while the power cloud provider and traditional electricity provider are the variables.

It is not about making a profit, since I don’t make profits, only savings at most. My concern was which option results in lower costs.

I will take another close look at the taxes this evening. That does seem to make quite a difference.

The 28 cents can, of course, be adjusted annually just like with a regular electricity provider. However, I can also cancel at any time, just like with any other provider, and switch to a different one.

30 tons gross including the monthly fees.

I am not familiar with the cloud contracts in detail, but you would have had to declare and pay the taxes on those, right?

But I am not allowed to include the monthly fees in the total investment. Those are my annual costs for the electricity provider.
Then you would also have to include the costs of your electricity provider for the next 20 years in your calculation.

Just to clarify again:
For comparison, I looked up the cheapest electricity provider for me on Verivox with the following conditions:
Basic fee: €15.40 monthly
Electricity rate: 28 cents per kWh

Personally, I have a cloud contract with my electricity provider that basically only includes a monthly basic fee (€43.95) and allows me to consume 4,000 kWh in winter that I fed into the grid during summer.

The simple calculation is:
12 * €43.95 = €527.40 annual cost for 4,000 kWh
This results in 13.19 cents per kWh.
However, since I have transferred the feed-in tariff for these 4,000 kWh, I effectively lose 4,000 * €0.09 = €360.

So, these 4,000 kWh actually cost me a total of €887.40 per year, which corresponds to a price of 22.19 cents per kWh.

In my opinion, no conventional electricity provider can currently compete with that.
Especially since a conventional provider would also charge an additional basic fee on top.

Could you please name the provider so that the potential issues can be identified?
