Hello everyone,
Since I have no prior experience, I would like to get some general information.
Our new building will be heated using an air-to-water heat pump.
What would generally and overall be the advantages, potential savings, and costs of installing a photovoltaic system on the roof? Is it worthwhile or not?

Oh, so you are allowed to cover a maximum of half the roof area with a photovoltaic system? I thought starting next year, it would even be mandatory to install a photovoltaic system on every single-family home... That doesn’t seem to add up for me either 😀 Just don’t question it….
I am allowed to cover “a maximum of half the roof surfaces, and the installation must be limited to one side of the roof.”

I am only allowed to build on up to half of the roof area, and the construction must be limited to one side of the roof Then you could build on a maximum of half of the south side, so that it would be worthwhile at best.
But that’s not even 5 kWp... In my opinion, that’s rubbish 😀

If a roof-integrated solution is not considered as an installation, you can put as much photovoltaic system on the roof as you want. The photovoltaic system may be a bit more expensive that way, but it is still worthwhile. Maybe you just don’t want the look of mounted systems—similar to how some places require roofs to be red or black.
