ᐅ Installing a laundry chute in the shower?

Hello everyone,
we are about to complete the bathroom on the top floor of our new build. The pipes have already been installed going upwards. We have a laundry chute in that room. We would also like to install a shower, which would need to be positioned in a way that the laundry chute is integrated into it. Do you have any ideas on how to make the chute waterproof? Is this even possible?

Because it dries better there, smells fresher, and there is enough space... Or do you have room inside the house for clotheslines for several loads of laundry?

Believe me, he would have space inside the house for ALL the loads of laundry...

My grandmother used to hang the laundry on a rotary clothesline in the garden. Nowadays, I don’t know anyone who does that anymore. And yes, we have a 20m2 (215 sq ft) laundry room, which is enough to properly hang 2-3 loads of laundry. The rest goes in the dryer, so what.

Yes, I have the space. But even in smaller rooms, I wouldn’t consider it. The sun fades the colors of expensive clothing. Even more so when hung damp in the sun.

That’s why laundry that can fade is washed and hung inside out and/or the drying area is covered so the clothes are not exposed to direct sunlight.

With so much space, you’re probably the exception.

Why should I hang laundry outside? 🙄
Maybe things work differently in BB.
I don’t know anyone who does that. And I wouldn’t have to walk either. 😉
I also think it’s environmentally friendly, but I actually know very few people who still dry clothes outside (age, lack of motivation, no time, no garden, small garden).

Maybe it’s also a generational thing? No idea how old you are.
I don’t know anyone who doesn’t do it.

I don’t know any older people around here who do that either.
And the weather here hasn’t really allowed it yet.
Whether you do it or not, throwing things in the shower doesn’t make sense.
You should think about your personal "laundry logistics" and plan accordingly.
