How wide does the rough opening for the utility room door need to be to allow both the boiler and hot water tank to fit through? This concerns a single-family house.

I assume the 88.5cm (35 inches) door doesn’t fit the design or floor plan. That may be the case. However, I can hardly imagine many situations where the additional 12.5cm (5 inches) wouldn’t be possible at all. It’s generally not a bad idea to avoid a narrow door in the utility room anyway.
