Hello everyone,
I would like to set up our vestibule in the following style (see attached photo).
Do you have any ideas where I could find something like this?
The only idea I have so far is using Besta furniture from IKEA, although from my research, a tall cabinet might be difficult to arrange with that.

I would really appreciate any suggestions.

Best regards

With kitchen cabinets from Ikea ... Metod series

It's hard to argue about taste, but those wall cabinets up there aren’t exactly impressive, are they? How do you reach the things inside? Are you 2 meters (6 feet 7 inches) tall?

We were looking for something very similar for our 2m (6.6 ft) wide niche but unfortunately didn’t really find what we wanted, so in the end we decided to go with a custom carpenter solution. According to our research, the closest match to our idea would have been Ikea cabinets.

This is how it looks for us now. Cost: €2,300.

Hallway with white cabinets, wooden bench, pink coat, cardboard box, glass door.

White built-in wardrobe with wooden shelf, hook rail and pink jacket; moving boxes on the right.

We also wanted it to be fully enclosed with trim all around, which you would have had to custom-build yourself with an Ikea or similar solution.

The upper cabinets aren’t reachable without a step stool for us either, but I think that’s fine for things that aren’t used often—for example, we always switch between winter and summer items. What’s currently needed hangs below on the rail, and the rest is stored up top.

You can realize your idea with kitchen cabinets from Ikea. See @kbt09
It is also possible to combine Besta with Metod.

Kitchen cabinets are usually much deeper—60cm (24 inches), right? And Besta is 40cm (16 inches). Possibly too wide for a hallway?
Nowadays, I almost always recommend going with a carpenter. It’s naturally more expensive than Ikea, but not more expensive than good quality furniture from a store. In return, you get pieces that you can’t find elsewhere, and they fit perfectly. So, for a home, it’s a worthwhile investment.
