Hello everyone,

we are in the process of building a single-family house with a basement suitable for living. This is the design we have come up with. I would like to hear from you if you see any possibilities for improvements.

On the ground floor, there is a side entrance door on the right. The carport will be located there.

In the basement living area, the children's rooms face south. From there, it should be possible to access the terrace and the garden.

I look forward to your tips and suggestions!

Ground floor plan: open living and dining area, kitchen, bathroom, hallway, and two rooms.

Apartment floor plan: kitchen, living room, hallway, and bedrooms with dimensions.

Yours is 6 years old, and his is only 1.5 years old. Bosch and Siemens are 100% identical; the only difference is the logo. Neff is 99% identical, as the control panel is usually slightly different.

Off-topic: Ooaah! Which one is that? Name it. Mine is terrible, and I’ve wanted to strangle it for a long time because of the loud gurgling noise.

Men and women, pay attention to the decibels and the word “whisper-quiet”… ours still isn’t hard of hearing after 5 years.

You do realize it doesn’t matter at all whether it says NEFF, BOSCH, or SIEMENS on it, right?

That’s why our quiet little one has AEG written on it too.

My mother's Siemens is 20 years old and better than mine.

That annoying thing

Regarding the temperature, I had a technician come to our dishwasher because something broke. He opened the machine and said, "Ah, very nice, you don’t use the eco program."

This is true in 9 out of 10 cases. He said you can clearly tell from inside the machines when they always run on eco mode. I don’t know if there’s any truth to that, but we usually run the intensive 70°C (158°F) cycle, also because of the little ones/baby.

It will be like with washing machines, which should also occasionally run at 60°C (140°F) to disinfect and remove any residues.

Hm, I think I always use the ECO mode, which is what happens when you simply press Start... I’ll have to check that out.
What is supposed to happen then?
