What happens more frequently is the challenge of correctly sorting the many small parts. The assembly instructions are usually very good, but identifying the fittings and following the recommended sequence is essential to ensure the cabinet is stable afterward. Additionally, it is important to check and tighten all screws again after assembly, as some can loosen during use. Another tip: attach felt pads under the feet to protect not only the floors but also the cabinets themselves.
I would also like to emphasize the importance of careful sorting and proper handling of the wooden dowels when assembling HEMNES. The dowels should never be forced in, as the wood of the panels is relatively soft and can easily split under too much pressure. Additionally, using glue is often unnecessary since the construction is designed to rely solely on the dowels and screws. If you want to improve stability, use only a small amount of wood glue and always remove any excess immediately to avoid damaging the visible wood surfaces.
