Good morning!

I need your advice. I installed a cold water pipe in the garden, which will have a water outlet with a Gardena connector at one end and a tap at the other end. There is a wide range of taps available, but I only find the water outlet from Gardena, and it has rather mixed reviews. The aquastop valve reportedly fails quite often.

Is there a more durable option that also looks good (installed in the ground)? It doesn’t need to be lawnmower-proof, as it will be installed within a gravel drainage zone.

Take a look, for example, at DVS irrigation under "faucet connection socket." The plug & play sets give a very solid impression compared to Gardena. Unfortunately, I can’t provide long-term experience as they were installed just a few weeks ago.
Before that, my sister had Gardena underground. All the covers broke off quickly. The aqua-stop was not an issue for her. They were in use for 3 years.

I haven’t had any significant issues with the Gardena system, even when exposed to full UV radiation throughout the day. Alternatively, you can use the brass components.

Exactly, the Gardena stuff now also comes with metal parts. Just check if the product you are looking for is available. Otherwise, the equipment is inexpensive and easy to replace.

Thanks, I’ll take a look at that. I still have plenty to do myself and three small children, so everything needs to be a bit more durable.

The DVS Premium would probably be the right choice, with a quick coupling in the floor tank. ... The expert always needs this strange adapter.
