Hello,

does anyone happen to have their TV positioned under a band of windows and could share a few pictures with me?

If you had to choose, TV under the band of windows, couch opposite, allowing a view through the patio door on the same side as the TV

or

couch under the band of windows (with the garden behind, patio door basically on the couch wall, and the view then towards the opposite wall with the band of windows.

Does anyone have either of these setups?

Thanks and best regards

Maybe you could sketch both options, especially showing where the patio door would be in each case. Also, the window strip... what is the sill height, what is the overall height of the window, and so on?

Clearly the latter. To enjoy the view of the garden, you just have to get up from the couch.

Attached are the sketches.

The strip of windows has a height of 60cm (24 inches). The sill height is shown in the plan. At the top of the plan (terrace) is the west side, and the left side of the plan is south.

Apart from the fact that I would never install a ribbon window with a 175cm (69 inches) sill height in my living room, as it would give me a complete basement feeling, I would rather lean towards this option:

however, with the sofa arm on the right side of the layout.

In general, I would probably add another window on the right side of the layout and also plan the upper wall differently.

Thank you for your feedback. The leg to the right is planned for the next sofa.

There is deliberately no window on the right side in the plan because the parking space is outside there, and a carport is intended to be built in that area. Currently, your suggestion is also my favorite. That's why there is the strip window. Placing the TV in front of a regular window would not have been an option at all.
