Hello,

does anyone happen to have their TV positioned under a band of windows and could share a few pictures with me?

If you had to choose, TV under the band of windows, couch opposite, allowing a view through the patio door on the same side as the TV

or

couch under the band of windows (with the garden behind, patio door basically on the couch wall, and the view then towards the opposite wall with the band of windows.

Does anyone have either of these setups?

Thanks and best regards

In that case, I would install a proper window instead of a window strip. Otherwise, the corner around the sofa will really feel like a basement.

If the window band were actually quite small, something like 50 cm (20 inches) wide, then I would agree with your basement idea. As it is, I just can't quite follow. It is as wide as the patio door and 60 cm (24 inches) high. I don't imagine it being that dark. However, a change is no longer possible anyway.

... a joke to call it a window band

It is the parapet height of 175 cm (finished floor level probably closer to 160 cm (63 inches)), that creates the basement feel. Have you seen it in person? Also, a clear opening height of 60 cm (24 inches) will likely result in a glass area only about 45 cm (18 inches) high. Yes, some light comes in, but you won’t be able to see out properly with a window like that.

Exactly, because then it would have to be called a basement window

Um, it’s not meant to look out either, and above all, not to look in...
