Hello,
in our new build, the shower drain for a walk-in shower was not installed in the center (see photo). We only noticed this after installation. The construction company admits the mistake and has offered to credit us for the costs. They say that fixing it would be too complicated and expensive. Everything would have to be removed again, and the tiles would be damaged. What do you think?

What surprises me is: wasn’t this noticed earlier!? For example, we already saw the position before the screed and so on.
Our shower drain channel is 80cm (31.5 inches) wide for a 90cm (35.4 inches) shower. It is placed about 5cm (2 inches) from the back wall, centered. Our channel was installed before the floor was laid. The shower area has no screed but was created with a type of concrete with a slope.
