I want to mount three of these cube-shaped Eket wall shelves (35x35x35cm (14x14x14 inches)) side by side on a wall. I have seen that there are two different wall rails available, one 29cm (11.5 inches) long and one 63cm (25 inches) long. Additionally, there are connectors (803.346.17).
Does anyone know how I should proceed with the wall mounting?
- Should I mount three 29cm (11.5 inches) wall rails side by side and then connect the shelves with the connectors?
- Or are two wall rails enough for the two outer shelves, and the middle shelf would only be held by the connectors?
- Or should I mount one 63cm (25 inches) and one 29cm (11.5 inches) wall rail side by side?
- Are the connectors necessary for my mounting setup, or can I simply screw the shelves together at the back?
- Are the wall rails necessary at all, or can I screw the shelves directly to the wall using those ribbed washers?
In general, I want to drill as few holes as possible in the wall. Ideally, just two holes/screws on the far left and right would be enough to mount the three shelves (screwed together). But unfortunately, the wall rail is too short for that. If I need to use three wall rails, I would have to drill six holes in total. Is that really necessary?
Best regards
