Hello everyone,

Since I have no prior experience, I would like to get some general information.
Our new building will be heated using an air-to-water heat pump.
What would generally and overall be the advantages, potential savings, and costs of installing a photovoltaic system on the roof? Is it worthwhile or not?

An accountant can reduce your returns. Hiring one means about 10 minutes of work per month, if that. It’s really easy; anyone can do it.
How to voluntarily waive VAT... well, that’s up to each person to decide.

I also have neighbors here who have no clue. One of them was wondering why he wasn’t receiving any payments. He assumed it would be deducted from his electricity bill. Actually, not a bad idea.

It must also be said that the tax treatment under the Renewable Energy Act is really frustrating and discouraging. The Renewable Energy Act should be abolished, but the subsidies should remain ^^

Not that taxes in Germany should become too easy – where would that even lead us?

Here is news from the photovoltaics magazine:

The federal cabinet is expected to review and approve the draft of the coal phase-out law within a week. In a draft from Tuesday, the changes resulting from the federal-state agreement on the shutdown schedule for coal-fired power plants have now been incorporated. However, the draft still does not include the amendments to the Renewable Energy Act that were planned in an earlier version. For example, the coal phase-out law was supposed to remove the 52-gigawatt cap on photovoltaics, which could soon mean an end to solar subsidies for all installations.

Experts warn that at the current rate of expansion, the threshold of 52 gigawatts of installed photovoltaic capacity will be reached as early as spring. Currently, around 50 gigawatts are counted toward this cap. Although Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Peter Altmaier (CDU) publicly stated at the “Handelsblatt Energy Summit 2020” that the 52-gigawatt cap will be abolished, the wait continues—likely until the next amendment of the Renewable Energy Act, which is also expected later this year. However, exactly when remains uncertain.

I have read here and elsewhere that it is possible to operate a photovoltaic system without the main electrical connection by using construction power. Does this mean that the inverter’s "plug" is connected to the construction power meter? Because the inverter is normally connected directly in the meter cabinet.

And is it therefore possible—if the main electrical connection has not yet been installed—to use the system for the heat pump to heat the screed (using construction power)?
