Hello everyone,

Since I have no prior experience, I would like to get some general information.
Our new building will be heated using an air-to-water heat pump.
What would generally and overall be the advantages, potential savings, and costs of installing a photovoltaic system on the roof? Is it worthwhile or not?

How do you know that? The region alone makes a 50% difference.
With photovoltaic systems, it's really pointless because the feed-in tariff under the Renewable Energy Act is the same nationwide.

Thanks for the information. The ratio is similar to ours. I was curious because we don’t come close to reaching 27°C (81°F) on the sunniest days without shading; at best, it gets about 2.5°C (5°F) warmer for a few hours in winter. It’s probably due to our more solid construction, or you simply get more sun on top.

Can your heat pump also work with the SHM2.0?
For us, the SHM controls the activation of our heat pump, but we only increase the domestic hot water temperature, while the underfloor heating is raised by just 0.5°C (0.9°F). When the sun is shining, the living room temperature can reach around 27°C (81°F) just from solar gain, for example (yesterday).

Um, a Daikin Compact Ultra should be able to do that. I’m just not sure if you need the LAN adapter for the Daikin as well.

Was there anything extra included that would justify the price?
About 2000€ too expensive, net, in my opinion

Yes, those were then deducted for a 9.9 kW system facing south.

In the first year, you operate at a loss and even receive a tax benefit. If the photovoltaic system is later classified as a "hobby activity," you no longer have to pay anything—however, I am still waiting for a response from the tax office to see if that will work.

If that "works," then congratulations—because the tax office will retroactively classify the activity as a hobby from the date the business started, which means the losses from all operating years will be disallowed for tax purposes. Additional payment coming! I hear you approaching!

Manageable. If the rehabilitation stay (KUR) was skipped, the value-added tax (VAT) issue becomes more relevant in case of an assumption of hobby farming. I always inform the tax office that the first year with full compensation is actually the third year of operation, to prevent any misunderstandings.
