Hello everyone,

Since I have no prior experience, I would like to get some general information.
Our new building will be heated using an air-to-water heat pump.
What would generally and overall be the advantages, potential savings, and costs of installing a photovoltaic system on the roof? Is it worthwhile or not?

Yes, partly. The corner on the carport remained free due to self-shading from the house.
We still need to leave space on the main section to access the outdoor unit of the air conditioning system for maintenance work. However, this arrangement works for us.

Our system was commissioned today.
9.72 kWp east/west on flat roof and carport, mounted on racks.
SMA inverter with IBC Solar modules and substructure.
Net €12,500 (approximately $12,500) total.

Was there anything extra included that would justify the price?
About €2,000 (approximately $2,000) too expensive, net, in my opinion.

When the sun is shining, the temperature in the living room alone can reach around 27°C (81°F) just from solar gain (as was the case yesterday).
Just out of curiosity, what percentage of south-facing window area do you have in the living room compared to the floor area?

There is a double-leaf patio door facing south and one standard-width floor-to-ceiling window. Then another double-leaf patio door faces west. The room is 48.5m2 (522 sq ft).

At least 2000€ more than it should be, net, in my opinion
How do you know that? The region alone can cause a 50% difference.

Aside from the fact that there are nationwide providers, you can get a very good impression across federal states of what is standard in the market and what is not.

And if a tradesperson receives 2000€ (about $2200) more for one day of work, this cannot be explained solely by regional variation.
