ᐅ Older Miele G 1290SCI dishwasher in an Ikea Metod kitchen?

we want to replace our Faktum kitchen with a Metod system and probably have a dishwasher issue. We have a Miele model G 1290SCI with a front control panel that is not very old (about 4 years) and works perfectly.

I see two possible problems:

1. Due to the new 8cm (3 inches) kickboard height, I suspect that the door panel hits the dishwasher housing (at the bottom) when fully opened. Measurements and a cardboard mock-up suggest that this might not work. There is potential for measurement inaccuracies... The Miele installation manual provides no information regarding the minimum kickboard height – IKEA itself is no help. Does anyone have a similar model and can tell me if this works?

2. I still need an idea of what size Metod door panel I should order for the dishwasher door. The old Faktum at 57cm (22.4 inches) fits perfectly, but the new 60cm (23.6 inches) ones are too small. So it will require some fiddling and trimming. If I join two panels, the overlap thickness is about 2mm (0.08 inches). Is it better to accommodate this thickness at the top or bottom – especially considering the relatively simple Miele mounting system for the panels? Visually, the top looks better, but I fear it might cause a conflict with the mounting to the machine.

If it does not fit according to the installation plan and your measurements also do not match, then the only option is to try with ERSÄTTARE.
