but somehow it seems to me that by rotating the house a bit, a bit more space is created in the garden.

That's right: by positioning the house diagonally, you gain a different perspective and longer axes. This creates interesting and more open areas in the garden, which can later be optimized very well through planting.

The idea is definitely very interesting. A minor issue could be the corner of the house in relation to parking or maneuvering the car.

Yes, it is still not fully thought through. On one hand, it would save some paved yard space since I wouldn’t need 4.5 m (15 feet) across the entire width, but the driveway and clear access to the entrance must of course be ensured. I’m also missing an idea for a smart garage solution to adapt it accordingly. Maybe someone already has experience with such a configuration?

I would shift the house one meter (3 feet) to the left according to the plan. The corner of the house can be softened with a bench and a plant to prevent anyone from accidentally hitting it.

At the back, I would cover the resulting “triangle” with palisades—your second parking space.
In this way, it shows that you can access the area between the garage and the house.

You mean that it’s possible to park behind the house? If I understood you correctly—I don’t want to “squeeze in” there either.
That’s actually not the purpose of this at the moment; rather, it’s about gaining more space on the left side of the garden.

Sorry, I really don’t like it. I guess I’m probably too old-fashioned. When I stand in front of my house (from the street), I don’t want to be looking at a corner.
