Hello everyone,

I’m currently installing my new KALLAX cabinet doors, but after assembly, the doors are warped and don’t close properly. I followed the instructions carefully and didn’t overtighten the screws. My guess is that the issue might be either with the hinges, which may not be perfectly adjusted, or some warping caused by moisture in the air.

Has anyone experienced something similar or can explain exactly what causes KALLAX doors to be warped after installation? Are there common mistakes that are easy to overlook?

I look forward to your feedback and tips on how to fix this problem.

MDF panels, which the doors are made of, can warp when exposed to moisture.

Thank you, that was a helpful tip! The doors really came from a different environment and were a bit cooler; I only had them permanently inside the heated room after installation.

It is very important to install the doors only after the cabinet itself is placed on a completely level floor.

The cabinet is on a tiled floor, which is slightly uneven. Could I fix this by using shims under the cabinet feet?

Does anyone have tips on how to best adjust the hinges if the cabinet is properly leveled? Many thanks also to everyone else for the encouraging words!
