Hi everyone,
We want to organize some clutter in our attic and are looking for a simple and affordable shelving system. The attic has no knee wall and a roof slope of 27°. The shelf should be placed along the roof slope. Does anyone have an idea of something easy to buy off the shelf? Of course, the shelving doesn’t have to fit perfectly 🙂
Thanks!
Best regards,

You can also use the Ivar system from Ikea. You can place any kind of shelf unit there. Behind it, you can conveniently store ladders, cushions, and other longer items.
We have around 26°C (79°F) without knee walls and decided against a very deep shelf. Instead, we put boxes directly under the sloping ceiling, which we pull out when we need something. Cushions and pillows are stored on top of the boxes.

Thanks for your input, really awesome!

We have the Hyllis from Ikea
ypg schrieb:That’s true. For a few meters, I can really imagine that working well. Cushions and such are always around anyway. Still, having a few deeper shelves would be nice. My “little problem” is that my roof isn’t very deep either. Meaning, if I place a shelf too far forward, it quickly reduces the walking space.

WilderSueden schrieb:Exactly! So far, I’ve only found models with “2 large shelves” + “2 narrow shelves.” Do you happen to know a model that can be built with “1 large shelf” + “1 narrow shelf”? That could be a good solution.

That’s why I suggest using boxes.Similar topics
