Hello everyone,

to those of you who have a pantry: what kind of shelving do you have inside? We wanted to put in the Ikea Boaxel shelving unit or the Ivar shelving, but due to the door they don’t quite fit. What alternatives are you using?

What doesn’t fit? The width (1m (3.3 ft)) or the depth (50cm (20 inches))?
Pax is only 60cm (24 inches) deep. That might be tight. I’d have to measure. But in the end, even a Pax as a storage shelf would probably be too expensive for me...

There is also a version with a depth of 37cm (15 inches). Just like Metod as well...

Yeah, but I don’t see the point... 37mm (1.5 inches) drawers... no, I’d rather just leave the shelf as it is.

What do you think of the Billy office cabinets with a depth of 40cm (16 inches)? In our utility room, it makes a great storage cabinet. Affordable as well.

Exactly. Read the question.
If an Ivar doesn’t fit, using a Pax... that definitely won’t work, folks!
Besides, wood has its own unique feel.
Still, you can only really give advice once you know if the shelf needs to be less than 1 meter (3.3 feet) or less than 50 cm (20 inches). Dimdidum

*lol but I don’t actually want advice, I like the shelves we have there. Simple, affordable, practical, can hold a lot of weight. Period. The utility room is not a living space. In principle, I do like drawers, as you can see with the kitchen pull-outs. I just wouldn’t want to pay the money for them.
