Hello everyone

I have been considering getting a new "IKEA bedroom" consisting of

- Pax wardrobe
- Malm bed
- Malm bedside table

The biggest issue is the Pax wardrobe. Last year, I was close to buying a 2.50m (8 ft 2 in) wide wardrobe (2.01m (6 ft 7 in) high) in birch with Lyngdal sliding doors. When I visited IKEA again, I saw that the UGGDAL sliding doors (dark glass) were new. I liked them even more. Unfortunately, at that time they were only available in the height of 2.36m (7 ft 9 in).

I decided to wait. Now I’ve revisited the topic and found that Uggdal sliding doors are also available in the height of 2.01m (6 ft 7 in). However, the maximum width is 2m (6 ft 7 in), not 2.50m (8 ft 2 in). I have asked IKEA if they plan to offer the 2.5m (8 ft 2 in) width soon.

Then I came across this site and read that Pax has been updated (edges, etc.), but especially the birch color. Does anyone know if the Malm range will also have its birch finish updated, or how this works? I really liked the previous birch tone. The opinions here about the new shade don’t seem very positive.

It would be great if someone could help me.
