A few weeks ago, I bought a discounted Pax wardrobe from IKEA – width 75 cm (30 inches) – and now I wanted to set it up in my new apartment and quickly buy doors for it. However, I found out that there are no doors available for this size at all!
Where can I still get doors???

rafael196617 Oct 2011 15:32Hello everyone!
You have several options:
1.) Buy another one, and you will have a great sliding door wardrobe with a total width of 150 cm (59 inches). (Sliding doors need to be purchased separately.)
2.) Buy two hinged doors, each 40 cm (16 inches) wide, have them cut down to about 37.2 cm (14.6 inches) at the hardware store, and glue edge banding to the cut edges. (This is rather pointless since the fronts are usually more expensive than the cabinet carcass.)
3.) Have the horizontal shelves of the wardrobe cut to (60 - 1.8 - 1.8) or (50 - 1.8 - 1.8), which is 56.4 cm (22.2 inches) or 46.4 cm (18.3 inches), to create a wardrobe 60 cm (24 inches) wide (kitchen cabinet fronts) or 50 cm (20 inches) wide (PAX fronts). Where you have the shelves cut, you will need to use corner connectors, for example, because the standard IKEA mounting recesses will have been cut off. The same applies to the PAX back panel.
4.) Curtain
5.) Return it.
Tough choice – let us know which option you decide on!
Best regards

rafael196617 Oct 2011 15:39Item 3) only applies if it is the smaller version, i.e., a height of 2.00 m (6 ft 7 in), since the maximum height of the front panels is 195 cm (77 inches).
