Hello,

we took over a Pax system in our new apartment, which is 3m (10 feet) wide, divided into three sections each 1m (3 feet) wide.

Unfortunately, the previous tenants did not install any doors, so we want to add them now.

I found a set of two sliding doors, each 1.5m (5 feet) wide, including rails and fittings, for €70. They are currently or were previously installed on a Pax system with sections measuring 1m (3 feet) - 0.5m (20 inches) - 0.5m (20 inches) - 1m (3 feet).

Can I safely buy these and install them on our Pax with three sections of 1m (3 feet) each?

Best regards,
Martin

Let's assume you have drawers in the middle...
how are you going to open them if a 50cm (20 inches) sliding door is in the way???
Even if there are no drawers, you still have to slide two doors from left to right to access half of the middle section.
I would avoid it.
Best regards

Is this a discontinued pair of sliding doors for a 3 m (10 ft) PAX wardrobe, or are these two pairs of sliding doors for 1.5 m (5 ft) PAX wardrobes each?

There are exactly 2 panels, each measuring 1.5m (4.9 feet).

Robi's comment was too obvious for us to consider initially. Of course, that is problematic. However, it would be acceptable if there are no drawers or similar features in the middle. We need to think this over.

Am I correct in understanding that otherwise, there would be no objections?

Yes, that is the only issue. If there are only clothes rails and shelves in the middle, I would prefer sliding doors over hinged doors.
