Hello, we want to buy a Pax Hasvik with sliding doors, but we have just noticed that the KOMPLEMENT snap lock is not suitable for this. "Compatible with all sliding doors for PAX carcasses except HASVIK and BERGSFJORD. We recommend attaching the snap lock to the sliding door before it is mounted on the carcass."

This raises the question of whether IKEA has already ensured that these doors close quietly, meaning they are damped, and if not, what can be done or why the snap lock cannot be used here.

Best regards,

Hello,

I just came across this post because we have had the same question since yesterday.
Is there any information or solution available on this?

Is it possible to install soft-close mechanisms on the drawers?

Thank you very much for any tips and advice.

Regards, Andreas

Maybe the last post in the thread "Always PAX" can help?

I think the snap fitting is more of a gimmick. Who actually slams a cabinet door shut?

No soft-close feature is planned for the drawers if they remain as they are. Perhaps something could be rigged using universal dampers.

Good evening and thank you.

Where can I find the thread "immer wieder pax"?
I can’t seem to find it anywhere.

Andreas

The salesperson at IKEA told me that the Hasvik doors are too light for the steamers.

Has anyone here installed them anyway?
