Hello everyone,
I’m struggling with assembling a Metod Maximera wall cabinet. I haven’t been able to reach anyone at Ikea’s support line, and I just can’t find the mistake. Maybe someone here can help me.

Our cabinet looks different...
In picture 2, you can see that the door is too high. The drawers (see picture 3) also don’t close flush with the cabinet frame. I believe they are supposed to. However, I don’t know what we could have done wrong with the drawers. The runners (picture 1) seem to be installed correctly in my opinion. I don’t see how they could be mounted differently.
What are we doing wrong?
Best regards,
ChriChris

Perhaps you mounted the drawer front upside down on the drawer box?

There are 3 points you need to check:
1. Is the front panel mounted the right way on the drawer?
2. Is the metal part on the front attached to the correct holes? (There are 3 holes, screws go into 2 of them. Depending on the position of the front panel, you need to choose the correct holes.)
3. The drawer slides are mounted in different holes depending on the position (the lowest one is different from the ones above).

Otherwise, take pictures again showing exactly how you mounted the front panel.

One more note:
I believe the following happened in your case:

The upper drawer must be fixed through the upper hole.
Additionally, for the lower drawer, the front panel should not be attached like shown in Myrna’s picture using the two upper holes, but rather fixed in the two lower holes.

This should allow both drawers to move down exactly the missing centimeter.

These are the crucial points: Both fronts are installed one "unit" too high—the upper one because of the incorrectly mounted rail, and the lower one because of the incorrectly attached "nubsis" on the front.

Since these are the 10cm (4 inches) fronts, they cannot be installed upside down.

I agree! You also need an intermediate floor, which currently has no space.
