IKEA-Experte10 May 2015 16:50Hello,
No, on page 11 it shows that the grille should be discarded.
IKEA.com/de/de/assembly_instructions/bejublad-backofen__AA-718049-3.pdf
The screws are 25 mm (1 inch) long in total, and the base is 18 mm (0.7 inch) thick. So the length of the screws is not the issue.
I don’t understand that.
I would remove the rails again and try screwing them onto the base first. That might help identify the problem more clearly.
At least almost flush. Do the bottom edges of the rails have a distance of 169 mm (6.7 inches) from the base as specified?
Screw the feet up as shown on page 14.

Actually, this is shown starting on page 11.
in the next steps, the ventilation is suddenly attached directly to the back panel
No, on page 11 it shows that the grille should be discarded.

When I place the divider panel on the two rails, the 6 screws don’t reach the holes in the rails. They are just a little too short
The screws are 25 mm (1 inch) long in total, and the base is 18 mm (0.7 inch) thick. So the length of the screws is not the issue.
The thread on the rail is slightly bent downwards
I don’t understand that.

Should the oven edge align flush with the metal rail (where the stoppers are attached) at the top? If so, I would have to push the rails higher up inside the cabinet
At least almost flush. Do the bottom edges of the rails have a distance of 169 mm (6.7 inches) from the base as specified?
How do you get this to the same height as the other cabinets?
Screw the feet up as shown on page 14.

How do you attach this front panel to the dishwasher? Unfortunately, there were no instructions for this either.
Actually, this is shown starting on page 11.

fritz meinikat11 May 2015 11:06Hello!
Thank you very much for your quick help. A new, somewhat unusual question has come up, since this differs from the Ikea built-in setup:
A cabinet with Maximera drawers is about 1.5 cm (0.6 inches) too wide because there is a wall projection in the way. I would need to remove about 10 cm (4 inches) from the front part of the cabinet. I can place the holes from the cabinet directly against the wall and thus replace the last row of holes with holes in the wall. In other words, the first hole for the drawer slides would be right up against the wall; the rear part remains on the cabinet. Logically, I would then also need to saw down the side of the drawers a little. The approximately 1.8 cm (0.7 inches) thickness of the wall can probably be sawed off without any problem. But: I have stainless steel drawer fronts (Grevsta). Do you think these can be sawed down? Or the stainless steel bent away, the wood sawed, and then the stainless steel closed again?
Now some notes/explanations regarding your very helpful points:
1.) I, fool that I am, never had the instructions for the dishwasher and oven. No wonder it was difficult.
No, on page 11 it says that the grid should be discarded.
2.) The Utrusta instructions for the board under the oven are unclear and the grid is not discarded! Also, in the link you sent, it still appears on some pictures below it. Whether it is still needed or not seems quite unclear to me...
I don’t understand.
I would uninstall the rails again and try to screw them to the base first. Maybe that will reveal what the problem is.
3.) Rightfully so, it was also written in a complicated way. The thread is designed like a “drain,” meaning it sits much deeper. Even after removal (good idea!) the screws could not reach the thread. I had to enlarge the screw entry points further so that the head was truly flush with the board. So really (unusually) inaccurate work.
Almost at least. Do the undersides of the rails have a distance of 169 mm (6.7 inches) from the floor as specified?
4.) I only saw the 169 mm (6.7 inches) dimension in the new "instructions" for the first time now. Thanks!
Yes, it is shown starting on page 11.
5.) Instructions for the dishwasher – thanks, I also only just saw them for the first time!
Best regards,
fritz meinikat

IKEA-Experte11 May 2015 14:26In the link you sent, some of the pictures still show it at the bottom. Whether that’s still necessary or not is quite unclear to me...It should always be placed at the very bottom, unless it’s an oven, then you can omit it. Depending on where the connection box (with the hole in the back panel in front of it) is located, the power cable may need to be routed along the bottom. The vent grille would get in the way there.
The thread is designed like a “drain,” meaning it sits much deeper. Even after removing it (good idea!), the screws couldn’t reach the thread. I had to enlarge the screw holes further so the head would sit flush with the board. The screw head is about 3.5mm (0.14 inches) high, leaving 21.5mm (0.85 inches) of thread, so 3.5mm (0.14 inches) sticks out. That is really quite tight, and you might expect the holes to be countersunk on one side of the bottom panel.
When trimming the stainless steel front, I don’t think bending it out, cutting it, and then bending it back will give a satisfactory result. Have you ever tried to straighten bent sheet metal by hammering? My suggestions are:
A) Cut it off completely and glue or screw a piece of sheet metal from the leftover onto the remaining part (the side facing the wall won’t be visible) or
B) Set the cutting depth on a table saw so it cuts through the wood but not the metal. Then remove the wood and bend the metal. This could probably also be done at a metal workshop.

fritz meinikat11 May 2015 14:54Hello IKEA expert,
thank you – are you actually a tradesperson, or do you just have experience?
Do you sometimes visit Berlin or know someone there who a) can complete the kitchen and b) has the necessary skills to handle this "special case"?
I would like to commission them and finish building the kitchen with their help.
Thank you for a brief response

IKEA-Experte11 May 2015 15:07Hello Fritz,
I am just a DIY enthusiast. For me, most things come from some experience and plain logic.
The people I know in Berlin would be anything but helpful for you.
I would also have the GREVSTA front shortened, since I lack the tools to achieve a clean result. You can’t buy everything after all.

fritz meinikat12 May 2015 16:43Hello IKEA expert,
I have to bother you once again – slow progress is better than none.
1. The dishwasher manual always shows a third leg at the back in the middle. I only have two black feet at the front and can’t find a third one. Do you know how it gets support at the back?
2. Are those strange sealing strips really just supposed to be stuck onto the side? The diagram is a bit unclear, and I don’t understand how they work. Does the non-adhesive part of the strip simply hang in the gap between the door and the appliance?
Thank you
Fritz
