I hope you can help me.
I bought a used Pax wardrobe (2 m wide and 2.36 m high) and have spent the last two days assembling it. Everything except the sliding doors is in place now. Unfortunately, I’m struggling with installing the sliding doors. Hopefully, you can assist me.
I already had trouble with step 3 of the instructions.
The eight parts that need to be screwed in there are under a lot of tension, and it’s almost impossible to press them in at the same time and then tighten them with a screwdriver. So far, I’ve only managed to attach 4 instead of 8 pieces. Does anyone have a tip on how to make this easier?
But that’s not the main problem. The main issue is the following: I install the first sliding door, placing the bottom part in first, then the top roller into the first guide rail. So far, so good. When I slide the door to the right, everything fits perfectly. But when I slide it to the left, the roller (top left) eventually comes off or stops running inside the track and jumps out. This causes the whole door to hang crookedly, and I have to painstakingly put it back on again.
I don’t know what could be causing this. Hopefully, you can help me. It looks like a bomb went off here because my clothes are everywhere. I’d really love to start organizing the wardrobe.
Best regards and thanks,
Eulchen

The second door is finally installed as well, but now there is the following problem:
When both frames touch (where the two doors are supposed to slide over each other), it doesn’t glide smoothly. Instead, it scratches, and I already have “grooves” in the aluminum frame. The doors also don’t operate properly and rub against each other. When you fully close the cabinet, so that the lower door (the one installed first) is on the left and the second door is on the right, you can see that the left door hangs crookedly.
I’m still not really satisfied with this.
What can I do?
I would like to fix this problem as soon as possible.
Best regards, Eulchen_6290
PS: The adjustment options inside the top of both doors, which can be adjusted using the included Allen key, I’m unable to adjust. You have to loosen the surrounding screws for that, but mine are rusted in place. Nothing moves 🙁 Do you have any alternatives?

Alter Schwede29 Apr 2011 23:36Hello Eulchen,
If the doors are rubbing against each other, you have probably installed them incorrectly. In your case, the door that should run on the outside is mounted so that it runs on the inside.
I believe that with the Lax Lyndal, the door that runs on the outside has a more pronounced edge on both the left and right sides than the door that runs on the inside. This is likely designed so that it is easier to grip for opening and closing.
The door that is installed incorrectly, the outer one in your case, then rubs against this edge.
