ᐅ IKEA Ivar Chest of Drawers – Drawer Does Not Fit

Good evening, this question was asked four years ago, but unfortunately, there was no answer.

Today I assembled the Ivar dresser, but I cannot install the top drawer. I have searched the internet and YouTube, but found no solution. The mother who was called for help couldn’t assist either. We even tried filing down a bit of the drawer, but that didn’t help. I would be very grateful for any tips on how to get the drawer installed!

Here is a photo. IVAR only offers a single dresser in their range. Whether I start measuring from the bottom or the top, it just doesn’t fit. I can’t get a better picture since I am holding the drawer and the camera at the same time.

Have you tried swapping the drawers, meaning the top one with the bottom and vice versa? We did that once – but with a different model.

Of course, they do not fit in any particular order

Okay, then you’ve probably already checked multiple times whether you’ve mixed up the sides or top/bottom, left/right. The larger (open) drill hole should actually be at the front of the panel. Sorry, I can’t think of anything else. Maybe someone else has a solution.
