Hello everyone!

I need a new sink base cabinet with a waste separation system for my Faktum kitchen, 60cm (24 inches) wide. Unfortunately, the replacement guide is not very helpful, and there are no longer any assembly instructions available.

What is the difference between FA 167 and FA 172 – aren’t they both compatible with the Rationell waste separation system?
What is the 13cm (5 inch) short part at the top – is that a drawer front?
Does the pull-out have to be combined from two drawer fronts, or can a single 60 x 57cm (24 x 22 inch) door be used?
Which full-extension slide should be used?

Thank you very much for your help!

Hello,
FA 172 only has a drawer at the bottom, while FA 167 also has an internal drawer further up.

The 13cm (5 inches) measurement refers to a fixed drawer front.

A 60x57cm (24x22 inches) door is also possible, as seen with FA 166.

Which drawer you can use depends on how much space is available inside the cabinet. I have the standard-depth drawer with a railing at the bottom. If any pipes or cables require space, only the 45cm (18 inches) deep drawer will fit. This one also includes additional mounting hardware to attach a 57cm (22 inches) door as the front or to connect two fronts together.

The RATIONELL waste bin is no longer available.

If you want to look at the instructions before buying: they are still available online at Ikea Australia, because Faktum is still sold there.
