Hello Everyone,
I am a big IKEA fan, although I occasionally have a few questions.
Almost five years ago, I bought the IKEA double sink DOMSJÖ, which is still available in their range.
Yesterday, however, the trap broke, so I immediately went to buy a new one...
The advice and purchase process went as smoothly as always. When I got home, I started working on it right away.
While installing, I noticed that there have been some small changes to the ATLANT trap, and I also realized why my trap had broken...
When I installed it five years ago, I found that the stainless steel screws provided to attach the drain to the floor valve were about 5cm (2 inches) too short. The trap has changed, but the stainless steel screws are still about 5cm (2 inches) too short.
Now I have used different screws again, which I will replace today with stainless steel screws.
Unfortunately, I can’t get the left side under the sink 100% watertight. Does anyone have any tips?
Somehow, the sealing rubber under the drain does not seal properly.
Thanks for your help,
Käse

You can get the screw at IKEA because Atlant only has the screw for a standard sink, that is, a metal basin. These screws usually come with the sink. And since you’re already at IKEA, you might want to ask if they possibly have a new seal for you. It’s likely that the seal is not in perfect condition.
