I assume I am not the only one with this problem. I bought a Besta TV unit and wanted to leave space on top for a DVD player. The problem is that the shelves included in the Besta package are too short for the drawer. This creates a gap of about two or three centimeters (1 inch). What can be done about this? Are there longer shelves available from IKEA? Or any other solutions?

request the floor supports and screws 4 x 115443, 4 x 115444, and 8 x 113928 from customer service. This should move the floor further forward. The gap will then be at the back, but it shouldn’t cause any issues there.
