Dear forum,

I am currently assembling an IKEA Metod kitchen. At IKEA, they showed me drawers that have, so to speak, another drawer inside (in other words, it is a double-decker drawer). I hope that makes sense.
What was delivered were two regular Metod drawers. The instructions do not mention anything about how to assemble a drawer within a drawer.
Did they deliver the wrong parts? Or how is this assembled? (I am a bit hesitant to try it because if it doesn’t work, it might be harder to return the already assembled drawer).
Does anyone have experience with this?

Best regards

Marius

Without any images, it is hardly possible to provide assistance. Maybe you can find an assembly video on YouTube.

Well, I don’t have any pictures – they showed me this at Ikea, and I just assumed that the corresponding instructions would be included in the package (which is why I didn’t take any photos).

By searching for "ikea metod kitchen drawer assembly instructions," you will find what you are looking for.

It works, we have that too.
You basically need one large (external) and one smaller (internal) part; the other way around or having two identical ones obviously won’t work.
The internal one also has a narrower front to fit inside the cabinet, while the external one has a width that aligns with the outside.
Good luck...

The drawers are built identically and are the same, except for their height and front panel.

The inner drawers are installed further back in the carcass and receive the Utrusta front, which fits into the carcass.

As @hampshire already mentioned, everything is explained in the manuals and product descriptions at Ikea.
