I am currently planning to attach my new IKEA Platsa furniture directly to a concrete wall, but I am unsure about the safest way to do this. The wall is solid, but I want to avoid using the wrong anchors or fastening methods that might not hold the furniture securely, creating a risk of it falling later on.
My specific questions:
- Which anchors and screws are best suited for hanging relatively heavy Platsa units on concrete?
- Are there any special procedures I should follow, for example, pre-drilling with certain drill bits or using additional reinforcements?
- How much distance should I allow between the fastening points to distribute the weight evenly?

For concrete walls, I recommend heavy-duty metal anchors, such as Fischer FAZ or similar types. It is important to use the correct drill bit, usually 10mm or 12mm (about 0.4 or 0.5 inches), depending on the anchor size.
