Hello everyone, I have been experiencing issues with my Ikea Platsa drawers for some time. They stick when pulling out or pushing in, which makes opening them noticeably difficult. The drawers run on plastic rollers and tracks, which appear undamaged at first glance but might not be properly adjusted. Are there any proven methods to fix this sticking problem? I am especially interested in specific steps to check and adjust the drawer slides, possible cleaning tips, or advice regarding replacement parts. I look forward to detailed suggestions that go beyond the surface and may include technical explanations. Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the very helpful answers! I will completely remove the drawers this weekend to clean and inspect them. I find the idea of using graphite powder interesting — I’ll try that if cleaning alone isn’t enough. I’ve already gotten replacement rollers just in case.
I’m also curious whether there is any special technique for adjusting the Platsa runners, or if they just need to be installed straight? Is it possible to fine-tune the runners if they are slightly bent? Many thanks in advance for any further tips!

I’m also curious if there is any special technique for adjusting Platsa railsThe rails in the Platsa system are generally fixed and do not have any adjustment options like telescopic rails. Therefore, the key is correct positioning during assembly: vertical and parallel to the cabinet frame. If you notice that the rails are bent, you can gently bend them back by hand, but always in small increments and carefully to avoid breakage. If the rails are severely damaged, replacement is the better option.
