Good evening everyone,

I bought the Lödingen sprung slatted frame from IKEA. However, I have a bed frame that I did not purchase from IKEA. My question is whether the slatted frame is compatible with all bed frames? I always thought there were standard sizes for beds (e.g., 140 x 200cm (55 x 79 inches)), where the frame, slatted base, and mattress all fit together. Isn’t that the case? Or did I possibly assemble the frame incorrectly?

I would appreciate it if someone could help me out!

There are so-called "standard sizes," but there is no official standard for beds in Germany.
This means that a bed base or frame labeled as 140x200 cm (55x79 inches) can actually measure 138.5x201 cm (54.5x79 inches) or 136x199 cm (54x78 inches).
In such cases, the fit might not be perfect.
There were even times when not all IKEA bed bases fit all IKEA bed frames... 😉

EDIT:
I would measure the internal or support dimensions of your bed yourself and then look for a bed base accordingly...
