Hello everyone, I am currently considering buying a piece of furniture from the Ikea Hemnes series and am particularly interested in the available color options.
Since Ikea often offers adjusted or regionally different product ranges, it would be great if someone could provide an up-to-date list or overview of the color options for this popular series.
I am interested in both classic colors, such as white or brown, as well as possible special colors or surface finishes, if the Hemnes series is available in multiple variations at all. Are there differences between individual furniture items within the series?
I would appreciate it if you could provide detailed information!

I can also share from my own experience: the white versions of Hemnes are visually very calming to me and make my small bedroom appear much larger. This was important to me because I don’t have a large room.
However, I get a better feeling of warmth and coziness with the brown stained finish, even though it visually reduces the room size.
Therefore, when choosing colors, it’s important to consider how you want the room to feel – brighter, more open, or cozier and more classic. I also struggled to decide for a long time and finally chose white stained for the dresser and brown stained for the bed.

The products all have consistent dimensions and design, so they harmonize well together despite the color differences.
The important thing is to balance the color variants well within the overall interior context to avoid a cluttered impression.

Are there differences in the color options for the individual pieces within the HEMNES series? For example, are all colors available for dressers, but only some for beds?
I’m asking because I want to make sure that my bedroom, furnished with multiple HEMNES pieces, has a consistent color scheme without having to make compromises.

Are there differences in color options for the individual pieces of the HEMNES series?Yes, there are slight differences. For example, beds and nightstands are mainly available in white stained and black-brown finishes, with brown stained being less common.
Dressers, shelves, and cabinets are usually offered in all three colors mentioned.
This variation likely results from demand and production. To achieve a harmonious overall look with several types of furniture, choosing the two most common colors is the safest option: white stained or black-brown.

Special colors or seasonal variants are currently not available. It's a pity, I was hoping Ikea would release a more striking color, maybe a blue or green in the HEMNES series. But well, classics are classics.
Who knows, maybe something will come eventually – until then, we can only dream in white or brown!
