ᐅ Double carport with shed, 6x9 meters, built on the property line

Hello,

we have decided on a double carport with a shed since our floor plan does not allow for a garage directly attached to the house (due to windows).

As our neighbor has already built a garage on our shared boundary, we would like to construct a 6 x 9 m (20 x 30 ft) carport between their garage and our house.

The advantage would be that, except for the shed, we could forgo side walls, providing optimal protection for the vehicles.

The shed should have the full width of 6 m (20 ft) with a depth of at least 3 m (10 ft), featuring a door to the carport as well as one to the garden, and possibly a small window.

Has anyone here implemented something like this?

Is there a supplier, preferably in the Lower Saxony area, who offers complete solutions for this?

Thank you in advance for your replies!

We were considering something similar, but we always heard figures around 15,000 (about 16,500) where you could already buy a prefabricated garage.

Regarding the price:
We also requested quotes for a double carport with an extension, a double garage including an extension, and an extended garage-carport combination. In the end, the prices were not that far apart, so we decided on the double garage with an extension.

Instead of a wooden shed, you could also have a prefabricated garage placed perpendicular behind the carport.

However, this would require delivery by crane, which is quite expensive...

I built it exactly the way you wanted. I constructed a 9 x 6 m (30 x 20 ft) carport, of which 6 x 3.5 m (20 x 11.5 ft) is converted into a storage room, leaving about 5.5 x 6 m (18 x 20 ft) for the vehicles. It is also built directly on the property line and attached to the house. I don’t see any reason this would be a problem.

We have two doors (one facing the driveway and the other facing the garden) as well as two small windows. I completed the entire structure myself using glued laminated timber beams, and the storage room is clad with facade profile boards. The roof is made of tongue-and-groove boards covered with bitumen membranes. The total cost for all materials came to about 5,000 (currency) overall.

@Björn: That sounds great!

Is there a building plan or structural engineering report for the building permit / planning permission?

My construction manager submitted the building permit / planning permission together with the house plans.
A structural engineer friend of mine handled the structural calculations.

Nobody can recommend a provider who builds something like this completely? I would like to see some pictures and the prices as well...
