ᐅ Do Neff oven and microwave units fit into the Ikea Metod cabinet?

Hello Forum,

I’m slowly but surely reaching the final stretch. Next week, the countertop will be ordered, followed by the appliances gradually. The cabinets will be picked up from IKEA bit by bit. Since IKEA is on my daily route to work, I can occasionally pick up something new when a piece is assembled.

Now a question from my side:
I want to install the 208 cm (82 inches) tall cabinet and both the oven and microwave from Neff. Both have the following dimensions. Can I fit them using IKEA’s standard panels, or do I need to custom-make something?

The appliances to be installed are:

Appliance dimensions (HxWxD): 595 mm x 596 mm x 548 mm (23.4 in x 23.5 in x 21.6 in)
Niche dimensions (HxWxD): 585 mm – 595 mm x 560 mm – 568 mm x 550 mm (23.0 in – 23.4 in x 22.0 in – 22.3 in x 21.7 in)

Microwave Neff CWR1700N (C17WR00N0)
Appliance dimensions (HxWxD): 382 mm x 594 mm x 320 mm (15.0 in x 23.4 in x 12.6 in)
Niche dimensions (HxWxD): 362 mm – 382 mm x 560 mm – 568 mm x 300 mm (14.3 in – 15.0 in x 22.0 in – 22.3 in x 11.8 in)

For "panels," there are basically only drawer fronts, about 10cm (4 inches), or HELANDE as a stainless steel panel 4.5cm (2 inches) thick.

As far as I can see, you’re missing about 2cm (0.8 inches) above the microwave. However, you could have a panel of any height bent by a sheet metal fabricator—for example, in 1 mm (0.04 inches) brushed stainless steel. For aesthetic reasons, maybe as a "U"-profile.

This only costs a few euros.
