I hope this hasn’t been asked before—I couldn’t find anything about it:
I designed a kitchen for friends using the IKEA planner and now want to send it to them via email or similar, so they can make some adjustments or tweaks themselves. Is it possible for them to upload this plan into their own planner, or does everything have to be entered again from scratch? It’s less about making changes and more about them being able to view it in the 3D version.
I have created an account for them, so copying from my account to theirs is something I can do myself.

Hello,
Your friends just need to log in using your data and can then view your saved kitchen design.
Can they make changes or create additional plans?
Best regards

In the planner, you have the option to send the plan via email. This sends a URL that allows viewing and editing the plan without logging in. You can then save it again under a new or an already existing user account.
There is no official feature to transfer a plan from one country’s Ikea website planner to another. However, in my experience, it worked by changing the country code in the URL. For example, in 2013, when I planned a Metod kitchen on the Swedish site, I was able to transfer the plans to the German site in 2014 (when the kitchen planner in Germany had also switched to Metod) by simply replacing SE with DE in the URL.

Juliette W22 Jan 2017 13:08Wow, thank you, fleptin, it worked to switch from DE to FR. Somehow, despite the software complaining a few times, it finally saved my plan to the French account. I have sent the login details to my friends and hope they manage fine. Thanks again!!
